Job Requirements
  • Current student working toward BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • High academic standards (3.50/4.00 GPA or above)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows
  • Experience/exposure to upgrading computer hardware and installing drivers
  • Excellent communication skills and strong ability to interact with customers and keep customer satisfaction high
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of circuits (both digital and analog), knowledge of computer architecture, knowledge of wireless technologies, programming experience (particularly Windows and/or Linux), "C" and/or Perl is helpful

Job Description
Find ways to break pre-production Broadcom hardware and software on pre-production computer systems from a major U.S. computer manufacturer. Work with leading edge wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and 802.11. Work with Broadcom engineers and the computer maker's engineers to resolve issues. Candidate will execute existing hardware and software test plans, but will also be expected to identify and implement improvements, such as identifying new test cases, and writing software and/or designing circuits to automate and streamline tedious tasks. The primary job location is at the customer's site, and candidate will learn how the computer maker works from the inside.
