Job Description
The student would be a member of the Hardware Packet Telephony Engineering team at Broadcom Canada. The Hardware team is responsible for testing hardware designs in IP Telephone and SMTA platform. Team members are involved with designing embedded hardware for a variety of telecommunications algorithms and systems. In this position, the student is exposed to many different concepts of modern communications. These include voice and video encoder/decoder algorithms, voice and video over WiFi systems, fax protocols, telecommunications signaling, and network protocols, all within a packet telephony environment (VoIP).
You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of embedded hardware engineers and be a part of the hardware development cycle of leading edge communications products.
