Integration and Convergence Combine to Significantly Enhance the Consumer Entertainment Experience in the Home

Broadcom continues to lead the industry with innovative silicon technology that paves the way for an entirely new and unique consumer entertainment experience in the connected digital home. Its solutions push the envelope of what consumer devices can do and how they communicate and share content with one another. In addition to bringing advanced functionality to more devices, Broadcom technology is enabling easier access to Internet-based content from anywhere in the home and personal media such as movies, photos and music from anywhere in the home that will usher in the new entertainment experience.
At the 2009 International CES, Broadcom is demonstrating a variety of new silicon, software and reference design platforms for digital video, wireless and mobile communications devices. - DLNA* - Broadcom drives the transition to a DLNA-enabled connected home that allows consumers to stream content such as movies, photos, Internet videos and music from and to CE devices, PCs, set-top boxes and mobile devices
- Blu-ray™ - Broadcom demonstrates industry leading Netflix streaming capabilities on its proven Blu-ray solution with high definition video playback at 1080p resolution, picture-in-a-picture video support, and high definition multi-channel audio
