Broadcom's 'PND-on-a-Chip' Integrates Advanced, Low Power GPS Capabilities with Powerful Applications Processing for Stunning Graphical Navigation -- A new navigation processor and power management (PMU) solution designed specifically for personal navigation devices (PNDs). The new 'PND-on-a-chip' integrates many of the costly external components required by competitive solutions, including a global positioning system (GPS) baseband, radio frequency (RF) circuitry and low noise amplifier (LNA) as well as high powered applications and graphics processors. The 'PND-on-a-chip' solution provides all the key components required to deliver a graphical user experience of life-like maps and engaging navigational information for next generation PNDs.
World's First Bluetooth® + Wi-Fi® Combo Solution for Notebooks, Netbooks and Ultra-Mobile PCs -- Three new Bluetooth® + Wi-Fi® modules designed to bring best-in-class wireless capabilities to notebook PCs and Netbooks. The new Broadcom® InConcert® modules are the industry's only solutions to combine standards-compliant Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips in the smallest form factor available (the half mini-card). Acer Selects Broadcom's Crystal HD Solution for High Quality, High Definition Media Playback on Select Aspire One Models -- The Broadcom Crystal HD solution has been selected by Acer to provide high quality, high definition (HD) media playback on a new line of affordable mid-range notebook computers. The recently announced Aspire One D250 and 571 10.1-inch netbooks are smaller than traditional laptops and ideal mobile companions when users are away from their PCs or want to leave their full-size laptops at home. Adobe and Broadcom Bring HD Flash Video to Intel® Atom™ Netbook Platform -- Broadcom and Adobe Systems announced an engineering collaboration to enable hardware accelerated playback of high definition Adobe Flash® technology based video content on netbooks powered by Intel® Atom™ processors.
