Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Eric Brandt serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Broadcom Corporation. In this
role, he is responsible for overseeing the long-term financial development of the company, mergers and
acquisitions, information technology and managing the Broadcom's internal financial and administrative
operations.
Mr. Brandt joined Broadcom in 2007 after serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avanir Pharmaceuticals, a developer of novel therapeutic products for the treatment of chronic disease. He has extensive experience in research and development and intellectual property-intensive industries.
Prior to joining Avanir, Mr. Brandt served as Executive Vice President of Finance and Technical Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Allergan Inc., a global specialty pharmaceutical and medical device company where he also held a number of other senior positions. Previously, Mr. Brandt spent nearly a decade with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global business consulting firm. While at BCG he led North American operations practice that included a range of computer and telecommunications clients.
Mr. Brandt received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
