Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Arthur Chong serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Broadcom Corporation. In this role,
he is responsible for the company's legal, governance and litigation activities, in addition to advising on all legal matters
and overseeing the work of inside and outside legal counsel.
Mr. Chong joined Broadcom in 2008 after serving since 2005 as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Safeco Corporation, a property and casualty insurance company.
Prior to joining Safeco, he served for more than 20 years at McKesson Corporation, a healthcare services and information technology company based in San Francisco, in a number of legal and management roles including Deputy General Counsel. Mr. Chong is a seasoned corporate attorney with nearly 30 years of experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, finance, securities law and litigation.
Mr. Chong received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
