Daniel A. Marotta

Executive Vice President and General Manager, Broadband and Connectivity Group

Dan Marotta serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Broadband and Connectivity Group. In this role, he is responsible for driving the company’s vision for broadband access, set-top boxes and wireless connectivity.

Broadband access products from this group are found in cable, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), DSL modems and gateways, as well as cable modem termination systems (CMTS) used by cable providers. Products also include DSL access multiplexers and optical line terminators used by telecom service providers. Broadcom’s solutions are found in digital cable, IP and satellite set-top boxes. In connectivity, Broadcom products address a wide range of end markets, from gaming platforms to PCs, laptops, TVs, set-top boxes and residential gateways to leading smartphones and tablets, consumer devices, the Internet of Things and wearables.

Mr. Marotta joined Broadcom in 2002 after serving in various senior management positions at Conexant Systems, Inc., a semiconductor manufacturer. Prior to joining Conexant, Mr. Marotta served as Director of Engineering at Brooktree Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer, and Vice President of Engineering at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, following Rockwell Semiconductor’ss acquisition of Brooktree.

Mr. Marotta received a B.S.E.E. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
