Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer
Robert Tirva serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of Broadcom Corporation.
In this role, he is responsible for overseeing all accounting policies, transaction processing and financial reporting.
Mr. Tirva joined Broadcom in 2000 and has served in a number of management roles including Controller, Director of Finance - Broadband Communications Group, Senior Director of Finance - Broadband Communications Group, and Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer.
Prior to joining Broadcom, Mr. Tirva served in financial positions at IBM, including Finance and Planning Manager - Business Innovation Services. Before IBM, he served as an Advanced Staff Accountant at Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Tirva received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A from the Yale School of Management. He is a certified public accountant licensed in Illinois, but is not engaged in public practice.
