BCM5690 is a 12-port Scalable Multi-Layer Gigabit Ethernet Switch with a HiGig expansion interface. When combined with the BCM5670 and BCM5671, its advanced features and scalable nature make it an optimal building block solution for higher port count switches.
Two BCM5690's can be connected back-to-back via the HiGig expansion interface, providing a two-chip, 24-port Gigabit switch.
