Dual Turbo-EPON® (1 or 2 Gbps) Optical Line Terminal SoC
The TK3723 is the industry's first EPON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) System-on-Chip (SoC) with two dual-speed Turbo-EPON® MACs and multi-service traffic management and shaping. Broadcom's Turbo-EPON MACs support both 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps downstream data rates, enabling carriers to reduce costs by employing higher split ratios and/or increase ARPU through deployment of service models tailored for single-family and multiple-dwelling-unit (MDU) residential, and small/medium business and enterprise subscribers.
Designed for access networks serving both business and residential subscribers, the TK3723 provides all the built-in functionality and performance required for OLTs delivering triple-play services. The TK3723's Turbo-EPON MAC features a configurable Dynamic Bandwidth Algorithm (DBA) that supports hierarchical fairness for guaranteed Service Level Agreement (SLA) contracts. Fully configurable L2/L3/L4 line rate packet processing allows for advanced classification, filtering, and application monitoring.
