Champion™ and Grand Champion™ Compatible SystemI/O South Bridge
The Champion™ South Bridge 5 (CSB5) SystemI/O Bridge is a multi-function, Plug and Play compatible PCI South Bridge. The CSB5 manages the flow of data to and from PCI, USB, ATA, SMBus, LPC and SuperI/O. Many common I/O functions are integrated into the CSB5 such as ATA100, 8259-compatible Interrupt Controllers, General Purpose I/O, external I/O APIC support, and 8237-compatible DMA Controllers. The North Bridge I/O link is provided by the Thin IMB interface for Pentium™ 4-based North Bridges and by the PCI interface for Pentium™ III-based North Bridges. The CSB5 includes advanced power management features such as: ACPI support, Clock Throttling, 8254 compatible Timers/Counters, and Inactivity/Power Down Events.
