Broadcom's Layers 2 - 4 Knowledge Based Processors (KBPs) are optimized for packet header processing. The unique combination of massively parallel architecture and integrated algorithmic technology on Broadcom's L2-L4 KBPs enables support for a wide range of search tables (ACLs, classification, QoS, L2 and L3 forwarding etc.) at line rate performance from tens of gigabits per sec to hundreds of gigabits per sec.
