Turbo-EPON® 1 or 2 Gbps TK3723 EPON OLT Evaluation Board
The Broadcom TK3723 evaluation platform provides a complete hardware/software reference environment for test and development of high-performance EPON OLTs (Optical Line Terminals) used in service provider central offices and cable head-ends. The BCM93723 EVB leverages the Broadcom TK3723 1 or 2 Gbps dual-EPON OLT device, which supports advanced L2/L3/L4 classification/filtering, VLAN switching, queuing, traffic management and shaping, hardware DBA, and IGMP Multicast proxy functionality. Both EPONs may be independently configured for symmetric 1 Gbps EPON or asymmetric (2 Gbps downstream/1 Gbps upstream) operation.

- Laboratory and field test of multi-rate 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps EPON deployments of 64 or more ONUs per PON
- Facilitation of NMS (Network Management System) integration evaluation and test
- Service model development and evaluation, for subscriber markets such as business services, residential, multi-dwelling/tenant subscribers, as well as timing-sensitive TDM/PWE3 applications including cellular base-station backhaul and T1/E1/J1 connectivity
