Broadcom @ Computex
Broadcom is headed to Taipei, Taiwan June 5-9, 2012 for Computex, the largest computer expo in Asia and the second largest in the world, second only to Germany's CeBIT. Computex draws close to 1,800 exhibitors and 120,000 attendees from all over the world.
This year, Broadcom's Computex booth (TICC T101B) will be exhibiting the latest in 5G WiFi connectivity and other new innovations for enabling wireless connectivity in consumer electronics.
At CES 2012, Broadcom introduced the world's first 802.11ac chips, aka 5G WiFi, technology that will meet the needs of a hyper-connected world.
5G WiFi will empower connectivity for the entire home, deploying higher-quality video, quicker cloud syncing and gigabit speeds to the growing number of Wi-Fi-enabled devices, providing the speed and support required by the emergence of more devices, more apps and more video. Recently, several Broadcom customers have announced the first routers enabling 5G WiFi, including Netgear, Belkin and Buffalo Tech. The 5G WiFi ecosystem will only continue to develop with more and more products that deliver the fastest wireless connections yet.
