Broadcom’s BCM7438 is a companion IP client solution with an integrated High-Efficiency Video Codec (HEVC) for use with MoCA 2.0 video gateways.
Broadcom’s BCM7438 integrates the HEVC compression standard and Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) 2.0 connectivity. It enables efficient delivery of HD and UltraHD content to multiple devices throughout the home. The BCM7438 is part of Broadcom's complete portfolio of HEVC-enabled devices that allow operators to substantially cut the bandwidth required for video transmission, offer additional channels on IP, cable or satellite networks, and deliver these services to more locations throughout the home on managed or unmanaged devices.
