Multicore processor family incorporates breakthrough XLP® processor technology that integrates up to eight NXCPU processing units, each operating at up to 2.0 GHz, with quad-issue, multithreaded instruction pipelines and a superior memory subsystem architecture.
This technology offers unparalleled processing performance and application scalability. The XLP® processor is ideally suited to both data-plane applications, which are inherently sensitive to memory latencies, and control-plane applications, which require best-in-class processing performance. The XLP 200-series processor family is designed using 28 nm technology and has a package size of 29 mm x 29 mm. The XLP® 200 Series includes:
XLP201 with 1 virtual CPU, 5 GigE & 3 x1 PCIe® interfaces, 72-bit Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) interface (including ECC), no hardware accelerators
XLP202 with 2 virtual CPUs, 5 GigE & 3 x1 PCIe interfaces, 72-bit DDR3 interface (including ECC), no hardware accelerators
XLP204 with 4 virtual CPUs, 8 GigE interfaces/1x10 GE interface, 4x1/2x2/1x4 PCIe interfaces, 72-bit DDR3 interface (including ECC), hardware accelerators
XLP208 with 8 virtual CPUs, 8 GigE interfaces/2x10 GE interfaces, 4x1/2x2/1x4 PCIe interfaces, 72-bit DDR3 interface (including ECC), hardware accelerators
