Overview

Broadcom's MGA-412P8 is a 802.11 b/g WLAN power amplifier housed in a miniature 2 x 2 x 0.75 mm leadless plastic chip carrier (LPCC) package. The power amplifier is designed for applications in the 1.7GHz to 3GHz frequency range, yet it is optimized for IEEE 802.11 b/g WLAN applications.
The compact footprint, low profile, integrated power detector, power down function and excellent power efficiency makes the MGA-412P8 an ideal choice for mobile IEEE 802.11b/g WLAN applications.
The best-in-class power efficiency is achieved through the use of a proprietary Broadcom GaAs enhancement-mode pHEMT process. It delivers 19.0 dBm linear output power at 3% EVM for a 54Mb/s data rate (OFDM modulation), and 23dBm at an 11Mb/s (CCCK modulation) data rate.
