CVE-2017-10661
Summary
Security Advisory ID : BSA-2017-423
Component : Kernel
Revision : 2.0: Interim
Race condition in fs/timerfd.c in the Linux kernel before 4.10.15 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (list corruption or use-after-free) via simultaneous file-descriptor operations that leverage improper might_cancel queuing. The handling of the might_cancel queuing is not properly protected, so parallel operations on the file descriptor can race with each other and lead to list corruptions or use after free.
